modified requirements
It appears that the posting an image thing is not as easy as one might think...so just copy the title of the piece and tell me what you like about it instead! Sorry!
Celebration!!

In honor of all my fans on Facebook (we just hit 100 :)) I am running a contest with jewelry as the prize!! All you have to do is head over to my Etsy shop and copy the title of your favorite item and post it in a comment on this blog entry and tell me what you like about the piece. You may enter up to 3 times (each entry must be a different piece). I will accept entries until midnight Sunday and post the winner on Monday morning the 26th of October. If you don't set up a profile and comment anonymously, I understand, please make sure to email, Fb message or something to let me know who you are!
Now, what is the prize? These Rainbow Lentils that I made a while back will be made into whatever the winner wants: a bracelet, a necklace, earrings or a combination of their choice! Wear it yourself or give as a gift!

The Zoo!
Yesterday, Paul took a day of vacation and we all went to the free zoo day at the Denver Zoo. We had a great time and here are a couple pictures before I get around to putting them on Flickr. Today I hope to do some fall cleaning/decorating since we are supposed to have snow starting soon (like the next hour kind of soon).

A cane in the making.

Here is a little bit of one of my clay processes. The clay is put into an extrusion gun in little discs, randomly placed and then extruded through a die (in this case I used the square shape). The by cutting the extruded "snake" and stacking them together you get the final cane which can be used to overlay or be cut into tiles. Thanks to Paul for the photos. See more of his work here!

Jenni in the hospital
Some of my Facebook friends might have seen some posts regarding my sister in-law Jennifer Tice. I thought I would do a quick post about her today so that you can be in prayer for her.
Jenni is due in January with their first baby (it's a girl! Rhys Tice). A few days ago she went in to the hospital for some severe pain and the doctors thought it was a kidney infection. Turns out it's not an infection, she has a kidney stone. She had surgery this morning to have a stent put in and as far as I know that procedure went well and now the waiting begins for her to pass the stone. She is of course on meds for the pain but she says so far Rhys is handling them well. As you think of her and my brother, Ben, please bring them before the Lord in prayer. They are both eager to be done with this ordeal and are in very bad need of some rest.
